A Quick Observation
Sep 23rd
Does anyone else think that it should be illegal to have any sort of alarm/siren/crash sound in radio advertising?
How many times have you been driving listening to the radio only to be jarred by a commercial using a siren or crash sound effect to get your attention? I understand why you would do it but I don’t think the advertisers have thought this through. Some even go so far as to put it low in the mix so that it sounds extremely real (at least to my ears). This is dangerous. It immediately makes you look around averting your attention from the business at hand – driving.
Sure it gets my attention – but not in a good way. And I can say this with certainty – I am not likely to come away with happy fun feelings about your product/service if you just used a cheap scare tactic to get my attention.
Phew! Ok — I’m done ranting now. Everyone can continue on with their day.
Peace,
Kelley

As a Tech fan, I cannot even imagine trying to watch this game. Tech has normally scored some points by the time they clear the tunnel.
Auburn – 3
Mississippi St – 2
Ugh.
Here’s a recap with the gory details.

Ike comes and goes…

Ike has come and gone. No real damage in our area other than some branches down.
The real action in North Texas was to the east of us.

Men vs. Women
Sep 12th
A man will pay $2 for a $1 item that he needs. A woman will pay $1 for a $2 dollar item that she does not need.
A woman worries about the future until she gets a husband. A man never worries about the future until he gets a wife.
A woman marries a man expecting he will change and he doesn’t. A man marries a woman expecting she won’t change and she does.
Hmm…Makes you think…

More Google Chrome Info

Since I’ve been playing around with Google Chrome the past few days, I have noticed a problem. It seems to really thrash the hard drive periodically. It has gotten to the point of grinding my system to a halt more than once.
Hurricane Ike…
Sep 10th
Well it looks like Brian, Shirley and the kids may be spared Ike. The latest reports have it headed towards the coast of Texas south of Corpus Christi.
Good news for Brian and Shirley — not so good for the Texas coast.
We’ll keep you posted.
