Well it looks like Brian, Shirley and the kids may be spared Ike. The latest reports have it headed towards the coast of Texas south of Corpus Christi.
Good news for Brian and Shirley — not so good for the Texas coast.

Hurricane Update

The power is back on for Brian, Shirley and the kids. Luck has been on their side. Some reports were saying it could be up to three weeks before power was restored.
Now everyone keep their fingers crossed that this is the only hurricane they get this year!

<P>The wedding reception was held mid-day today at The Four Seasons Resort in Las Colinas. What a beautiful spot and the service was fantastic. It was a great party–a good visit with family and friends. It was a little warm, but worth it! Kayla and Daisy kept cool by taking dips in the pool…fully clothed! I'm sure Kelley will have pictures posted soon. The rest of us forgot our cameras! OOPS! </P><br />
<P>Next weekend (7th) Darrell and I will be celebrating our 35th wedding anniversary. Hard to believe we've been married this long already! I told him that I want to go to the Four Seasons for our next anniversary. <img src="http://www.knlc.net/templates/default/img/emoticons/smile.png" alt=":-)" style="display: inline; vertical-align: bottom;" class="emoticon" /></P>

<FONT face="Tahoma, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif">I have posted a selection of our digital photos from the vacation in Maui. We had a great trip–the wedding was beautiful. Take a look at our pictures–they're best if you click them up past the thumbnail size! Some are slightly blurred–the wind blew so hard that it was almost impossible to hold the camera still when we were on those overlooks!</FONT>

<P>I posted a few new pictures of TC & Chessie today. They're getting to be big girls now!</P><br />
<P>We're home from our first trip in the new 5th wheel rv. Found a few things that had to be fixed and Darrell took the trailer today to get those things done. This trailer is big enough for us to live in!! (Not that we want to) We have more storage space than we need and that's a change. We think we'll enjoy it once we get used to its size. I don't think it would feel so big if it wasn't so tall!</P><br />
<P>Well, take a look at our kitties if you'd like. They rule this home.</P>
