Ike has come and gone. No real damage in our area other than some branches down.
The real action in North Texas was to the east of us.

Hurricane Update
The power is back on for Brian, Shirley and the kids. Luck has been on their side. Some reports were saying it could be up to three weeks before power was restored.
Now everyone keep their fingers crossed that this is the only hurricane they get this year!

Programs No Computer Should Be Without
I get asked about the software that I prefer to use all the time. While some of the things that I use are a bit out there, many are very simple and incredibly useful for anyone. I decided to put together a list of what I consider to be “must haves”. All the tools are free and, I believe, easy to install and use.

KnLC.net RE-Re-Launch!
Well, here we go again. This time it is a total (and I mean total) re-launch of our little website.
What we have here is a complete switchover to wordpress. This is what we should have done last time. We just want a site that doesn’t take a lot of upkeep, dangit!
